In the Applications Call of the program to which you apply, available in the Oferta website , additional documents may be requested which must be digitally attached to your application.
During the online application, you need to upload the documents previously mentioned. The application will be considered only if you submit all the required documentation. The documentation upload does not exempt you from, after the enrollment, providing the original documents or sending them by post duly authenticated as set in the Regulation of Application, Access and Admission the University of Évora .

The Academic Association of the University of Évora (AAUÉ) represents all the students enrolled at the University of Évora and is governed by the principles of democracy, independence and autonomy. Organized by sectors in very different areas such as Social Services, Support to Integration, Support to the Nuclei, Protocols and partnerships, Academic Activities and Festivities, Sports, Health, Image and AAUETv, it intends to uphold the academia students’ rights and boost a more diversified university experience.

It offers new opportunities for those who cannot come to the University to continue their training because they are far away or because they have a job.
New opportunities to acquire knowledge though e-learning. This was one of the modalities chosen to enrich the training offer of the University of Évora. In this modality, the student has a greater autonomy to manage his/her time. Applications São Tomé and Príncipe
Aiming at the needed training and scientific ability of senior employees in S. Tomé and Príncipe and within the scope of a long lasting cooperation, the University of Évora will keep on providing the post-graduation training degrees in S. Tomé and Príncipe next academic year.
Like previous years, the candidates to the University of Évora regarding the degrees with edition expected for S. Tomé and Príncipe can be assured that they will find a modern teaching process designed according to the European standards of demand and quality which grants them the highest possibility of access to the job market and professional success regardless of the degree they choose.
The many centuries of existence of the University of Évora are undoubtedly a quality assurance stamp reflected in the certification granted by the Higher Education Certification and Assessment Agency, A3ES to which these degrees are, and will always be, subject to. The quality of the University of Évora is also proven by the success that our licentiates, master’s and PhD former students have reached in foreign and national universities and companies , where they introduce themselves with a Diploma plus a “supplement to the Diploma” technically inviolable guaranteeing their academic path and all the formal and non-formal competences acquired throughout the degree.
The degrees offered in São Tomé and Príncipe vary and are defined annually and are identified as “São Tomé and Príncipe” in the list of course available.
Isolated CU application
In the University of Évora, you can apply and attend several isolated curricular units from licentiate, master’s and PhD degrees and post-graduation.This possibility, started within the scope of the Bologna process and long-life training processes and makes it possible to enrol in isolated subjects with the guarantee of certification in case of passing the due exams.
By attending isolated curricular units you can:
- update or enlarge your competences in specific areas;
- obtain accreditation when enrolling in the corresponding degree.

Double Degrees
The University of Évora (UÉ) and Universidad de Extremadura (UEx) have signed specific covenants to recognize double university degrees certification for degrees that are part of the same training offer. These covenants establish the conditions that make it possible for students who have concluded a specific degree from these higher education institutions (UÉ or UEx) to obtain the double degree.

Students enrolled in the MSc in Zootechnical Engineering at the University of Évora can obtain a double degree from the Sassary University in Italy corresponding to the "Laurea Magistrale in Scienze delle Produzioni Zootecniche".
UÉ students who wish to obtain a double degree must pass the licentiate degrees of the UÉ with a minimum number of ECTS and pass a specific set of Credit Units offered at UEx. The same happens with UEx students who wish to obtain a double titulation, i.e., they must pass the licentiate degrees of the UÉ with a minimum number of ECTS and pass a specific set of Credit Units offered at UÉ.
Conditions to obtain the double degree are different for all degrees. Please, check the documents related to the degrees covered by UÉ-UEx specific covenants of double degrees for detailed information and analysis of the Credit Units chart required within the scope of the corresponding protocols.
After concluding the corresponding licentiate degrees and passing the CUs and ECTS within the scope of the degrees covered by UÉ-UEx specific covenants of double degree, students can request the diploma to the other University.
These procedures vary according to the study cycle. Please, check the documents related to the degrees covered by UÉ-UEx specific covenants of double degree for detailed information and analysis of the procedures required to obtain the double degree.

This is a Scholarship aimed at students who do not hold minimum and appropriate financial resources, which co-funds the charges with the attendance of degrees or attendance of mandatory professional training and includes a complement for housing for students who stay at Residence Halls from the University of Évora. The scholarship payment is made monthly and directly to the student by bank transfer. Applications are made on-line at the DGES site on specific dates approved by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education simultaneously with the application to the national Access Competition to Higher Education.

Program +Superior
The +Superior Program aims at boosting the attendance of public higher education institutions located in regions with less demographic pressure, thus contributing to regional development and for the full use of the national educational capacity. Within the scope of the +Superior Program, the Ministry of Education and Science (MEC) awards Mobility Scholarships.
Applications: DGES platform.
The University of Évora has an annual tuition fee of 2,500 euros for international students. However, the University of Évora offers Scholarships for International Students that aim to facilitate the access of international students to the study programs offered by the University. These scholarships translate into a reduction of the tuition fee paid by the students. There are two types of scholarships:
1. Merit Scholarships - all international students receive the merit scholarship in the first year if:
In the following years, students have to continue to show a meritorious performance to continue to benefit from the scholarship.
2. Cooperation and Development Scholarship - in the first year all international students who are nationals of African Countries with a Portuguese as the official language or who benefit from the Refugee or Stateless Statute receive a scholarship. In the following years, the students must have a minimum approval rate to continue receiving the scholarship.
For Undergraduate and Integrated Masters the tuition for Merit Scholarship holders is € 1050 and the Tuition for Cooperation and Development Scholarships holders is € 1250. The values for the MSc and PHD are provided in each degree call for applications.
FASE- UÉ
This measure is a complementary support for UÉ Students that cannot collect a scholarship and which allows paying in full or partially the tuition fee of the academic year, obtain meal coupons and/or fund part of the university residence hall costs.
EMERGENCY AID FUND (FAE-UÉ)
Allocated to students not covered by scholarships or other benefits of Social Support, FAE-UÉ is aimed at providing an immediate support in situations of economic deprivation due to unforeseen reasons.

UÉ offers all its students the opportunity to develop part of their studies or do an internship in a partner institution within the scope of national and international programs in which the university participates or by means of bilateral cooperation agreements concluded with institutions around the world.

The University has 7 university residence halls able to accommodate 528 students. The different residence halls are spread throughout the city, all of them have an easy and quick access to the buildings comprising the university. They all have study rooms, recreation rooms and kitchens, bed linen and towels and access to the wireless network, as well as services such as kitchen and common space cleaning and general laundry.
University residence halls are for housing students enrolled in higher education which attend the University of Évora and their priority is to provide the scholarship students from SASUE with access to the said residence halls.
Private Housing
There is the possibility to rent a room at a family’s home or a furnished apartment/house that the student can share with colleagues. The search for this type of housing is the sole responsibility of the student. To ease this type of search, the Academic Association of the University of Évora
provides a list of housing units available.
One of the concerns of the Social Welfare Services regarding food services is to boost quality and diversity in the offer delivered to the students. Thus, supported by a Food Quality company which carefully prepares the menus, the quality of the food items used is guaranteed, and they are certified according to the HACCP food safety system.
The Food offer includes, besides the 3 options of the Verney Canteen (main dish, diet and vegetarian option), the day meal and the entire offer of the Verney Snack-Bar, and also the menu of the restaurant “Cozinha do Cardeal” located at the Colégio do Espírito Santo.
The University of Évora also has other food units which are under leases and which, besides the bar service offer a service of welfare and other meals.
The Welfare Services offer general medicine appointments to all students attending the University of Évora.

UÉ supports students’ integration and their academic journey, working to achieve inclusion within the academic and social context, supporting students in their social, personal, psychological and psycopedagogical life, including special educational needs through multidisciplinary teams. The focus of the UÉ services and structures is to support the students, and for such it has created several mechanisms and programs to provide solutions to potential difficulties during the students’ academic journey. Besides that, theme seminars designated CONTACONNOSCO (YOUCANCOUNTONUS) were planned to approach topics related to the development and obtaining transversal competences such as Time Planning, Organization and Management; Self-regulation of Study and Learning; Financial Education; Risk Behaviours and Healthy life Habits; Bibliographic Research and support to the Elaboration of Academic Papers; and Looking for the First Job. These seminars are delivered by teachers from the University of Évora and are aimed at all the university students.
